Counselling Terms and Conditions

Counselling is a two-way conversation between you and your Counsellor focused on enabling you to make the changes in your life that are of importance to you.

Confidentiality

The information you share with your Counsellor is confidential with the following exceptions:

• The Counsellor considers there is a risk of harm to either yourself or another.
• If you were to disclose something that by law your counsellor must share with the appropriate authorities, e.g. abuse towards children and/or another vulnerable adult.
• Acts of terrorism or the drug trafficking act.

If any of these situations come to light during our work together, it is a legal responsibility for me to contact the appropriate authorities but where possible this will be discussed with you first.

A fee of £75 is required before your counselling session. You may pay by bank transfer. A cancellation charge equivalent to the cost of the session may be applicable if less than 24 hours’ notice is given. Counselling sessions are for 50 minutes.
